Setup at the LBNL Cobalt source facility

Hibrid on cooling base with tubing istalled. Cooler set at 15° C. Temperature at the hybrid ~20° C
Hibrid with the extender cable (~40cm) to keep support card away from source.
Here you can see the aluminum/lead box where the hybrid will be placed and the hybrid holder (just outside the bread box).
The thickness of aluminum is 0.8mm, lead 2.6mm. The yellow block are lead bricks covered with yellow tape. They are used to shield the support card.
The source is inside the white cylinder, at 30 cm.
Hybrid installed on holder and inside aluminum box (16 cm square). The distance of the hybrid from the edge of the box is ~4.5 cm.
Radition probe to measure dose rate.
Approx. distance from the source is 35 cm. The predicted dose rate is ~ 5.6x10^3 Rad/hr.
We measured (with Electrometer and TLD's) a dose rate of 1.3 Rad/sec (with error to be determined).
Extender cable connected to support card coming out from lead bricks shielding.
